Inequality is designed by man born out of greed, ignorance, and selfishness. Some justified it as necessary and a natural process for the survival of man and for the development of the society. This statement basically implies that it is typical to have people living out of poverty and others to live in wealth, to leave others to their misery for others to live in bliss, for others to be given importance while others will be treated with insignificance, and to serve justice for those in power and not to those who are inferior. People are blinded by the pleasures and reliefs they receive that they forgot to give regard or to even be concerned by the growing problem of the society. If this is the case, what will transpire to growing problem in humanity?

The most common form of inequality is the gender inequality. This refers to the unfair treatment or perception of people towards an individual’s gender and personality. This is believed to have emerged from the differences of gender roles, especially the rise of the LGBT community. Furthermore, reports regarding gender biases are common among households, school, and even in work places. This gender inequality was blamed to the different and distinct expectations of the society between the roles of man and women. Men in the society is considered to be dominant and superior compared to women. They are expected to do greater things while woman are expected to take care of a child and run the household. The society neglected to understand the hardships and the weight of work given to women, likewise the pressure being forced towards men. Conversely, gender inequality remains to be the major barrier to human expression and development.

Another form of inequality is the economic inequality, which includes the huge gap between the rich and the poor, and wealth and income differences. Majority of economist claimed that the root cause of economic inequality is the lack of equal education for all. People, especially the youth living in extreme poverty, whose income is not enough to sustain their needs, are deprived in having a good education giving them lesser chance to land a decent job. Furthermore, these people are most commonly vulnerable and are usually not treated with same respect and importance compared to those who have attained something in the society. On the other hand, people who are given the chance to obtain good quality of education are given good opportunities and benefits. Society treats them as an asset and their skill as a capital that can be used for the development and for new innovation of the world. While these people are given importance in the society, those who have been deprived with education and opportunities remains to be inferior in the eyes of many and is controlled by those superior to them. Furthermore, there are many factors that also provides a great impact to the growing concern of economic inequality, this includes, globalization, labor markets, policy reforms, technological changes, taxes, racism, gender, culture, income gap between highly skilled workers and low-skilled workers, etc.

Inequality does not only affect a portion of the population of the world; the lives of each and every individual living is influenced and is affected by this. Let us shed new light to the injustice and poor standard of the society. Let us live the life we want and not be controlled by the rules of what is and what should be of the others. Help one another by breaking the barriers the past have built, let us create a new world where everyone is treated with equal respect, importance, and justice.
